A New Look At Employee Experience: The Growing Importance of Employee Health, Happiness, and Productivity

Wednesday, December 5, 2018 1:00pm - 2:00pm EST
Host: Future Workplace Webinars
By: Brandon Tinianov, VP Industry Strategy, View, Inc and Jeanne Meister, Executive Vice President, Executive Networks, and Founder, Future Workplace Academy

In 2018, Future Workplace partnered with View on some research entitled “The Employee Experience.” A survey of over 1,600 employees in North America found that over 50% reported access to natural light and views of the outdoors were their most important office perks – outranking onsite cafeterias, fitness centers, medical care, and childcare. The report was published in the Harvard Business Review in a highly shared article titled The # 1 Office Perk? Natural Light in September 2018.

This webinar will discuss the growing importance of the workspace in creating an employee experience that is memorable, compelling, and leads to increased productivity.

In this webinar you will hear:

  • Key findings of The Employee Experience study on how exposure to natural light and views is linked to better health and increased employee productivity
  • How HR leaders partner with Real Estate and IT to re-imagine workspace
  • What you can do as an HR leader to take audit your workspace to propose ways to enhance access to natural light and outside views.

Workers spend on average five hours and 42 minutes at their desk each day. Think of the impact access to natural light could have on their overall work performance, wellbeing and satisfaction. A healthy, restorative workplace is the foundation for any high performing, content and engaged workforce.
